The Great Giveaway, Continued
Many indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest had (and still have) a ritual called the potlatch — a gift-giving festival that also serves as the foundation for their economic system. The word potlatch comes from the Chinook language and means “to give away.”
In that spirit, I’m continuing the blog birthday celebration with another giveaway here (see this past Tuesday’s post for a fantastic book giveaway). There’s something for everyone, from e-courses on creativity and presence, to support for entrepreneurs, to beautiful watercolor cards.
I’ve contributed some of my own offerings and invited several friends to donate to this giveaway as well. I am delighted to feature their good work here and encourage you to learn more about all of them.
DEC 2 UPDATE: This Giveaway is now closed and the winners have been chosen… thanks for your interest! We’ll do it again next year : )

Hiya,
What a wonderful way of spreading good cheer-through the creative works of others.
My “work” would be to hand write some meaningful notes to special acquaintances and mail them through the post with a beautiful stamp. Please put my name in the hat for the birdcards!
And thank you for this project!

Oh me oh Maia!
What a generous offering you have here! I had a difficult time deciding–so many wonderful things to choose from. The choice for me if I were to win would be your Fully Engaged Toolkit. Thank you for your fun and generous giveaway. Many happy returns of the day to you!

November 26, 2012
The Soul Power book sounds very interesting. I have been a member of Toastmasters Intl. for 10 years (my club is Demosthenes Wannabees) and I would love to see how to craft a keynote speech. My daughter might benefit from the book, as well. She is in her 3rd year at a liberal arts college and she wants to be a social worker with an emphasis on mental illness recovery and she wants to help victims of sexual assault. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your Potlatch giveaway, Maia.
November 26, 2012
I would love to have a copy of the Soul Power book as well as all the other wonderful potlatch options! What a bounty of amazing choices! The Soul Power book looks intriguing as my kids and others have for a long time told me that I should teach ‘what I know’, and I am open to that, just not sure exactly what I ‘know’ or how to put it together.
Thank you for your amazing work in the world, Maia.
May all that you give be returned to you with great love.
November 25, 2012
I would like to win Sharon Saltzburg’s book on faith. I have always wanted to read something of hers but never have. I am going through a faith mini crisis and think this could help me.
November 25, 2012
I’m wondering what’s next? At 65 I’ve done almost everything I wanted and feel good about a life well lived and experienced, terribly grateful for all I’ve learned and all the strange and wonderful people in my life. But I could have another 30 years. What’s ahead? What direction to move in next? What’s important to me now? Probably writing my book. What would be the best prize for me? Not sure.
November 25, 2012
Wow Kristin, I’m so inspired by you! I hope when I get to 65 that I’m in the same ‘space’ as you – there’s hope for me yet. I’m 48 and feel like I’ve hardly scratched the surface of the life I’m meant to be leading…
November 25, 2012
Kristin: I did Maia’s 30 Day Fall in Love with Your Work-highly recommend it!
November 27, 2012
I would love to get the call with Ursula. Sounds like something I really need right now.
November 25, 2012
Hi Maia, thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity – awesome! I would love “Soul Power to your Message” by Michelle Barry-Franco. I want to start up women’s retreats that focus on “Soul Power” – finding your soul voice and letting it speak. I also have a very strong interest in helping underprivileged children in Bali and India and would love the knowledge to help talk about this to groups in the future. Once again, Thank you Maia for this opportunity.
November 24, 2012
I would live guidance from you! (the call)
Happy birthday again!
November 24, 2012
Maia, I would LOVE to take your 30-day Fall in Love With Your Work e-course – ’cause I’m stuck – plain and simple. Meeting you briefly in New Mexico was great. I suspect that “diving in” and learning from you would be a tremendous boost. Thanks for the offer – and all of the great content you currently share.
November 24, 2012
Enjoyed reading about Potlatch in school; often reminded of it , incl. when my social club has held it’s exchanges/giveaways…Thank you !
With members of that club, I’d share your”Fully Engaged Toolkit” offering…Cheers !
November 24, 2012
Hello!
I would love a copy of Soul Power to your Message, by Michelle Barry-Franco. I am sure that there are many things I could learn and ideas I could glean that would help me enrich my message, both in the vegan outreach and animal advocacy work that I do and in my work as volunteer coordinator for the American Red Cross. I will be speaking to Girl Scouts about business ethics in January. I am always interested in increasing my effectiveness as a speaker and as a catalyst for positive change in the world.
Thanks for the opportunity!
