The Freedom Friday list is a monthly round-up of resources to support your liberated life. I’m always happy to consider suggestions for future lists — drop me a line here!

Spirit

What’s Most Important?
Tammy Strober of the blog Rowdy Kittens offers a simple, lovely way to focus your energy… it has to do with asking yourself what the three most important things are you need to accomplish each day. You can find Tammy’s beautifully illustrated post here.

30 Days of Yoga
Marianne Elliott is an amazing yoga teacher as well as human rights activist based in New Zealand. I got to meet Marianne when she was in Santa Fe last year and could feel the depth of her practice. Her “30 Days of Yoga” course will help you to begin or restart a regular practice of yoga in your own home.

The Fire Starter Sessions
Danielle LaPorte’s long awaited book is finally out. The Fire Starter Sessions is a fantastic read – I reviewed it here last month and highly recommend it if you need to re-connect with your inner fire and are ready to make your mark on the world.

Finances/Livelihood

Creating a Liberation-Based Livelihood
In April, I had the honor of being interviewed by Shelly Immel, creator of The Big Life Project, who asked me about my thoughts on “liberation-based livelihood.” Shelly was a fantastic interviewer; you can see the full video here, as well as some excerpts from our conversation.

How to Fall in Love with Your Work
Yes, I’m going to claim author’s prerogative and feature myself in this item as well! Exciting news: I’m developing the first-ever Liberated Life online course, to be launched this July. The course is titled “Fall in Love with Your Work: A 30-Day Adventure.” It will be based on the core principle of the LLP: Freedom is an inside job… which means it will give you the inner tools to align your core purpose with your work, and then I’ll help walk you through the steps to make that shift happen in your life. More info here.

Creativity

Explore the Beauty of Tibetan Buddhist Art
Have you ever wondered about the figures and symbolism found in Tibetan thangkhas (textiles) and other Tibetan art? (Hint: a lot of it has to do with liberation!) Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo is an artist and Buddhist practitioner who is creating a month-long online course, “Untangling the Threads of Awakening,” that will give you an accessible introduction to Tibetan Buddhist art.
