A monthly collection of freedom-affirming experiences
that I’m happy to share with you!

SPIRIT

30 Days of Love! Illuminate Your Heart
Joy Holland, the big heart behind Facets of Joy, has put together a scrumptious 30-day experience to challenge us to lean into love just a little bit more. This course is a collaboration with a number of bloggers, including me. When you sign up, you’ll receive a new “Love Prompt” each day that invites you to open your heart and inspire your thoughts. Find out more here.

Yoga in Your Home With Marianne Elliot
A couple of months back, Marianne Elliot was generous enough to write a wonderful guest post here on yoga as an awareness practice. Next month, Marianne is offering her “30 Days of Yoga” courses, which are all about establishing compassionate practices of self-care and self awareness to support you on your path. Registration opens on March 18, and courses start in April.

FINANCES/LIVELIHOOD

Divine Compensation by Marianne Williamson
I’ve been reading Return to Love, a classic by Marianne Williamson. I was happy to discover that Marianne has a new book out, The Law of Divine Compensation: On Work, Money, and Miracles. As she writes in the preface, “Finance is just one of many areas where an increasingly obsolete, materially based worldview is proving to be inadequate to the challenges of the times in which we live.” This one is definitely on my reading list.

CREATIVITY

Threads of Awakening Journey to India
Are you interested in Buddhism and art? Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Consider joining my friend Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo on her “Threads of Awakening” journey to India this November. Leslie is one of the only westerners trained in the rare Buddhist art of silk appliqué thangkas. On this journey, she gives you an insider’s look at Tibetan art and culture, while encountering the great spiritual diversity of India.

THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

Offer Sanctuary for Zapatista Corn!
The Zapatistas in the Chiapas region of Mexico are some of the most resilient freedom fighters on our planet these days. You can lend them a hand by planting and purchasing Zapatista corn. By doing so, you become a part of a global effort to preserve a vital genetic heritage that has evolved over thousands of years. More info here.

What are you excited about this month? What great stuff do you know about to share with all of us? Leave a comment below… I’d love to hear about it!

  2. Maia,

I have *no idea* what this month holds..and I find that exhilarating as I learn to fully trust presence to unfolding to not only open to new spaces but thoroughly enjoy the exploration and experience.

I am heart-led and quite bold, yet editing for my new class–which you so graciously participated in, and mentioned here–dissolved barriers I didn’t even know existed and here I am in new heart space, with love and gratitude. I don’t know what “to do” with any of it, except breathe into it and experience it. So, here I am breathing and experiencing!

You list some very powerful and empowering resources here. It is an honor to be among them!
