The Live Events Edition!

Last month I got all charged up after doing my own mini-live-event, a Liberation Lounge in Southern California. While connecting with folks online is fun, there is no substitute for the energy that transpires when a group of amazing folks lands together in the same space.

So this month’s Freedom Friday list is dedicated to some awesome-looking live events happening over the next few months, all of which embody the spirit of a liberated life.

Are there other events on your radar that you’d love to tell us about? Please add them below in the comments!

July – Sept: Compassionate Earth Walk from Alberta, Canada, to Nebraska
The vision of courageous Zen Buddhist priest Shodo Spring, the Compassionate Earth Walk traces the Keystone XL route through the Great Plains, from Hardisty, Alberta to Steele City, Nebraska. The ancient practice of pilgrimage gives us a chance to respond to present and future environmental catastrophe. You can join the walk for part or all of the route, or you can support it in various ways from your own home. Find out more here: http://www.compassionateearthwalk.org/

September 22, Santa Fe, NM: Jami Sieber in Concert
Jami’s concerts are always magical occasions, as she fills the air the evocative sounds of her electric cello. This concert is happening literally right next door to me, in the beautiful, sacred space of Upaya Zen Center’s meditation hall.  Jami will be celebrating her new CD, Timeless. This will be her first solo performance since moving to New Mexico two years ago. Don’t miss this beautiful evening. More information here and sign up for Jami’s email list to receive updates on this and other events.

Oct 4 – 6, Simi Valley, CA: RAJ13 Rhythm and Joy Festival

RAJ 13 brings together performers from Urban Contemporary, ROOTS, World Music, R&B Soul, Spoken word, Dance, Yoga and Jazz genres in a backdrop of leading edge speakers, gourmet local food, the healing arts and overnight camping. Find out more here. http://brightstarevents.net/show.cfm?id=4295
